A b o u t Vigor Calma

Vigor Calma's art is an enchanting tapestry of vibrant colors and serene compositions that transports viewers into a realm of tranquility and introspection. With a keen eye for detail and an exceptional ability to capture the essence of nature and human emotions, Calma's artwork ignites a sense of optimism and invites us to pause, reflect, and find solace in the beauty that surrounds us.

Captivating Colors and Harmonious Compositions: One of the most remarkable aspects of Vigor Calma's art is the masterful use of colors. Each stroke and hue intertwine to create a symphony of shades that seem to dance on the canvas. From the ethereal blues of a peaceful ocean to the warm oranges of a majestic sunset, Calma's color palette evokes a profound sense of joy and wonder. The artist's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the seamless blending of colors, resulting in breathtaking gradients and captivating transitions that effortlessly draw the viewer into the artwork.

Beyond the enchanting colors, Calma's compositions possess a tranquil harmony that is both soothing and invigorating. Whether it's a solitary figure amidst a vast landscape or a simple still life arrangement, each artwork emanates a sense of balance and grace. Calma's ability to capture the delicate interplay of light and shadow further enhances the depth and atmosphere, making each piece a visual symphony that resonates with the viewer's soul.

Since 2007 no more galleries were involved. To keep as much independence as possible.

2007/2008 were great years of disillusioning on Ibiza. A hyped island, that wasn't at all, what media wants to sell. But a good cahnce to look into the deepest abysses of human greed, envy, resentment, vanity, complacency, anger, and fear. Away from human comedies, Ibiza opened up my senses for nature and  silence.

After finding inspiration from silence, any interest in artist-labels, vanity, or what anyone thinks what art should be, disappeared

In 2015  "permanent residence" was finsihed. For a nomad life of maximum flexibility.

The year 2018/19 on Cyprus, living as a hermit in nature without electricity and internet, beacame a life changing experience, which opened new rooms to life and awareness.

2019 Italy became the new place to create.

2020 a gift of inspiration came through Mandali and started a new fire.

Will you join the silence?

2020 he moved to Portugal to find his paradise of silence and nature.

2022 he was seen in Monchique.

Most of the soulmirrors are sold online to private collectors. Soulmirrors and ritualpaintings found new homes all over Germany, Switzerland, Holland, France, America, and Australia.
Please keep in mind, that no digital picture can catch the soul of a handmade painting in real life.

Vigor Calma on Cyprus
Vigor Calma enjoying silence on Cyprus, summer 2016
